Fingerprint Golf Ball Card

Fingerprint Golf Ball Card

For the golf-loving dad, this fingerprint art card creates a golf ball from fingerprints arranged in a circle, with a tiny flag and green landscape painted below. It's personal, sporty, and completely charming.

What You'll Need

  • Blank cardstock card — folded in half
  • White paint — for fingerprints
  • Green paint — for the grass
  • Red paper or paint — for the flag
  • Black fine-tip marker — for details
  • Toothpick or thin stick — for the flagpole detail

How to Do It

Step 1: Paint the green. Brush a strip of green paint at the bottom of the card front for the golf course.

Step 2: Make the golf ball. Let dry, then use a white-painted fingertip to dab prints in a round cluster (the golf ball) in the air above the green.

Step 3: Add dimples. Use a black marker to add tiny dots across the white fingerprint ball — golf ball dimples!

Step 4: Add the flag. Draw a thin flagpole in the green with a red triangle flag at the top.

Step 5: Write the message. "Dad, you're always at the top of my game!" + name and date.

🎓 Skills Your Child Will Develop

Symbolic art — Creating a recognizable object from fingerprints requires visual thinking.

Interest awareness — Personalizing a gift to a parent's hobby builds attentiveness to others.

Tips & Variations

  • Try other sports: basketball, soccer ball, football — each has its own fingerprint pattern.

My Two Cents

Let the green dry completely before adding the fingerprint golf ball — wet paint smears into the white prints.
