Fourth of July Bingo

Fourth of July Bingo

A patriotic Bingo game with Fourth of July images — flags, fireworks, hot dogs, stars, eagles, barbecues, sparklers — is a perfect activity for a holiday gathering of mixed ages. Easy to set up, endlessly entertaining.

What You'll Need

  • Bingo cards — printed or hand-drawn with Fourth of July images in a grid
  • Calling cards — matching small image cards
  • Bingo markers — red, white, or blue pennies, or patriotic stickers
  • Small prizes — mini flags, star stickers, patriotic erasers

How to Do It

Step 1: Prepare cards. Create 5×5 or 4×4 grids with patriotic images. Make each card different.

Step 2: Make calling cards. Matching image cards go in a bowl.

Step 3: Play. Draw and announce one card at a time. Players mark matching images.

Step 4: Win! First to complete a row wins a small prize.

Step 5: Play again! No party game ends after one round.

🎓 Skills Your Child Will Develop

Visual matching — Scanning the card for a match develops observation skills.

Holiday symbol knowledge — Recognizing patriotic symbols builds cultural literacy.

Tips & Variations

  • Play "Blackout Bingo" where the whole card must be covered to win — takes longer but generates more excitement.

My Two Cents

Laminate the Bingo cards for reuse. The small prizes don't need to be expensive — a mini American flag from a party supply pack is an exciting Fourth of July prize for a preschooler.
